In March 2007, Ronnie and Carolyn, together with Paul and Sharon Gardiner, Travelled to the North of India to visit the 2 schools and 5 pastors that are supported by Drop Inn. It was wonderful to see that even in the abject poverty God is working there. The pastors all have a great vision to see many thousands of people in their communities reached with the gospel, even though they can face much persecution. The 2 schools were started by a young man named Sunny. Sunny had a vision to bring children from the lowest social class in India , to come to live in the schools where they receive a Christian education and 3 good meals a day. These Children would not have any chance of an education without this program. Drop Inn will cover the full cost of running both schools, including paying wages for a teacher, cook, and caretaker. As a result of this visit we now support 5 more pastors in India making it a total of 10. |

- Tsunami Relief Projects - Orphanage Building Programme - Pastoral Support Programme On 23rd March 2005 Ronnie Dawson and Leslie Brown of Drop Inn Ministries returned from the Guntur region of India, where they brought financial support to the villages devastated by the Boxing Day tsunami. Ronnie Dawson explained "It was a very humbling experience to receive such a warm welcome from people whose homes and livelihoods had been destroyed such a short time ago. During the visit we were able to distribute fishing nets to families in an effort to help them rebuild their lives and communities. We were also able to finance the operation of medical clinics. Doctors accompanied us and we were able to give free medical attention to people in these rural communities. In one particular village, where most of the homes had been destroyed, we were surprised to find out that we were the first foreign visitors and the first people to come with any practical help. The scale of the tragedy continued to unfold when we had the opportunity to travel on a fishing boat, from where we were able to observe entire communities living in plastic tents for shelter." The aim of Drop Inn Ministries is to bring help and support to people living in situations of desperate need as an expression of human compassion and Christian love. In all the countries where Drop Inn are working, we have understood the need for long-term regular assistance. As a result of our visit to India we are again convinced that long-term help and support is needed to help these people rebuild their lives after the Boxing Day tragedy. Drop Inn Ministries have pledged to provide the finances to purchase 80 more fishing nets, to build 40 new homes and build an orphanage, which will provide food, accommodation and education for 150 orphaned kids. The short-term aim is to raise £100,000 to honour our pledge. We also have promised long-term support to financing the running of the orphanage, the operation of medical clinics, and providing a welfare program for widows. How Can You Help...
